For personal expenditure in Israel, US dollars are readily convertible.
Credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, American Express) are widely accepted and
you will be able to use credit cards, including cash cards (with logos such as
Maestro or Cirrus), to buy goods or obtain cash from machines.
Access to your money in Israel is your responsibility. There will be no need
for cash on site other than to pay your personal expenses (e.g. phone cards).
