Dr. H. Arthur Bankoff Professor and Chair of the Department of Anthropology & Archaeology at Brooklyn College CUNY.

A Brooklyn College alum (1965), Dr. Bankoff earned his  Ph.D. from Harvard (1974).  Dr. Bankoff has directed excavations at numerous sites in Eastern Europe, the Near East, and New York City. I. In 1997 Dr. Bankoff was appointed as the Advisor on Archaeology to the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission. He also serves as the director of BC-ARC, the Cultural Resource Management arm of the department.
