May 25, 27 Student prep meetings, Israel (6-9 PM)
June 1 Student prep meeting, Serbia (6-9 PM)
June 7 Leave for Israel (JFK-TA, Delta, 6 PM)
June 8 Arrive Israel; bus to Hebrew University dorms
June 9 Classes begin (afternoons, 2-5 PM) ANTH 11
June 13 First bus trip: Carmel Caves, Ubedeiyah
June 16 Second bus trip: 'Ain Melaha, Netiv Hagdud, Nachal Oren
June 20 Third bus trip: Beersheva, Lachish
June 23 Fourth bus trip: Qumran, Masada, Herodium
June 27 Final Exam
June 28 End of first module: some students return to NY;
-others remain in Jerusalem dorms
June 28 Classes begin for CORC3208 (mornings, 10-12)
July 26 Final Exam
July 27 End of second module: some students return to NY;
-others fly to Belgrade;
-bus transportation to Loznica, one hour from Belgrade
July 27 Classes and excavation begin for ANTH 3015
August 1 First bus trip: Syrmium (Ancient Roman capital) and a visit to Gomolava
-(Neolithic, Bronze Age, Iron Age, and Ancient Roman sites)
August 8 Second bus trip: Vinca (Neolithic metropolis on the Danube), Belgrade
August 15 Third bus trip: Gamzigrad (one of the best preserved Roman Palaces)
August 19 Return to NY
