John T. Tanacredi
Ph.D.; Research Ecologist and Chief of the Division of Natural Resources for the National Park Service at the
Gateway National Recreational Area.
His research interests are related to environmental health engineering,
ecotoxicological implications of xenobiotics and environmental contaminants in urban national parks and how they
influence the future use of these natural resources. His most recent book, "Ocean Pulse: A critical Diagnosis" (Plenum Press),
discusses a wide range of human induced problems on our global oceans. He is president of the Science Museum of Long Island and
NGO delegate to the United Nations for the Explorer's Club.
