Asya Dodina
was born in Moscow in 1966. She received a BFA from the Surikov State Moscow
Art Institute. Her awards and honors include a medal from the Russian Academy
of the Arts for her series of prints "Reminiscences" in 1990,
a residency at the Russian Academy of the Arts from 1991 to 1994, and a
Project Grant from the New York Council of the Arts in 1996 and again in
1999. Asya has exhibited in numerous museums and galleries including the
CASE Museum of Contemporary Russian Art in Jersey City, NJ, the Cork Gallery
at Lincoln Center, NY, the Russian Academy of Art in Moscow, and the Glasgow
School of Art in Scotland. |
