Laura Arnao was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1955. Her interest in art started at a very early age. As a child, she began carving and modeling in various materials, and then took private art classes. She received her BA in sculpture from Brooklyn College in 1991. Laura made the transition from working in clay to mixed media installation in the summer of 1999.
