Rejin Leys was born in Brooklyn, NY, in 1966. In 1988 she received a BFA from Parsons School of Design, after which she studied printmaking, papermaking, and book arts. Her mixed-media and book works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Montreal and Port-au-Prince, Haiti. In 1995 she received a fellowship from the New York Foundation for the Arts. She was awarded a Special Projects Residency at the Lower East Side Printshop in 1996 and a residency in digital media at the Brooklyn Community Access Television Station in 1998.
