Suzanne Meehan was born in Washington, D.C., in 1963. She grew up in Connecticut and attended Tufts University, where she earned a B.A. in Russian language and literature in 1985. She then moved to the San Francisco Bay Area where she studied at the California College of Arts and Crafts and the San Francisco Art Institute. In 1997 she exhibited in a two-person show at the Nexus Gallery in Berkeley, California. She has been in numerous group shows over the past ten years. While at Brooklyn College, Suzanne has been awarded a Teaching Assistantship in 1999 and a Charles G. Shaw Award for excellence in art in 2000. She is currently teaching Basic Design as an adjunct instructor at Brooklyn College.
