classes. Intaglio. Art 35.21 This class covers the intaglio techniques of etching, drypoint, aquatint, engraving, sugarlift, and softground. Emphasis is placed upon design and drawing fundamentals as well as the technical aspects of the craft. Advanced Intaglio. Art 35.22 The student studies color printing doing color studies in aquatint and on the computer. Relief and Planographics. Art 35.11 The class covers the techniques of monoprint and woodcut printing. Emphasis is placed upon design and drawing fundamentals as well as technical aspects of the craft. Advanced Relief and Planographics. Art 35.12 Lithography is offered as well as advanced techniques in other relief processes. A portfolio of prints is produced. Edition Prints 35.30 Two students work with a Master Printer producing print editions for well known artists. Students are chosen by Portfolio. See Prof. Carlile Independent Study.
