We are accepting
applications for
Summer 2012 China Program Flyer
Application Deadline: March 19, 2012 (first come first served)
Total estimated
program cost of Summer 2012:
only $3,150,
which includes
1.
Round trip international airfare (
New York to Beijing; Shanghai to New York; low airfare add-on is possible for
departures from other U.S. airports);
2.
Tours and sightseeing in five famous
cities of Beijing, Xi’an, Nanjing, Suzhou/Hangzhou & Shanghai (all arranged
by professional travel agencies, with excellent English-speaking tour guides
and charter buses);
3.
Admission tickets to scenic spots in
the five beautiful cities;
4.
Hotel rooms in China for 4 weeks
(double occupancy in excellent hotels--single room for extra $700 and with
program director’s approval. We do not stay in dorms whose
conditions are not what you want to enjoy);and
5.
Transportation within and between
the cities in China.

Payment
Due Dates & Policies for Summer 2012 Program:
1.
$450 (in money order or bank cashier
check only), due with application before/on March 19, 2012
a. This first payment will be refunded if you are not accepted, but non-refundable if you are accepted into the program;
b. $30 late fee applies to applications received after the (extended) deadline
2.
$1,400 (in money order, bank cashier check, or by credit card), second payment
due March 26, 2012
a. Late payment may lead to an additional charge for international airline tickets
b. Second payment is not refundable after the airline tickets are issued
c. Airline tickets purchased are not refundable or transferable.
d. A fee of $30 per week for late payment after the (extended) deadline
3.
$1,300 (in money order, bank cashier check, or by credit card), final
payment due April 20, 2012
a. Half of the final payment is refundable for cancellations made, in writing, before April 27, 2012
b. None of the final payment is refundable if the participant cancels the trip, in writing, on/after April 27, 2012
c. A fee of $50 per week applies to late payment
* If the majority of the group choose to make the side trip to Yellow Mountain, this arrangement will become mandatory, so that the whole group, after the 3-week stay in Nanjing, will make a side trip to Yellow Mountain, with a stop in Hangzhou (instead of Suzhou), for an additional $235, before arriving in Shanghai.

1.
No personal checks will be accepted. All payments must be in money order or bank
cashier’s check payable to “Brooklyn
College.”

The
student’s name should be typed or printed in the “memo” of the money order or
bank cashier’s check.
2.
Payment
by credit
card is also acceptable. See the credit card payment authorization
form. Read instructions in the form carefully.

A.
Credit card payments are subject to a non-refundable 2.65% convenience fee.
b.
The
total to be paid includes this convenience fee and the form automatically
populates the fee once the amount to be paid is entered.
3.

4.
All
bounced payments will be subject to a fee of $30.00; late fees will apply to
actual payment made after the deadline.
5.
If
the exchange rates between US and Chinese currencies change by more than 2%,
or, if the airline ticket fare goes up by 2% more than the estimated fare, the
trip organizer reserves the right to adjust the trip cost accordingly.
