The Secret Science Club meets every month @ the Bell House in Brooklyn. Each month a new scientist comes to talk about their work in an informal and entertaining way.

Get advice, help and support from MentorNet, one-on-one e-mentoring from professionals in academia and industry; Brooklyn College is a partner. All BOSC students are required to join and participate in this free (to BC students) service. This is one of the best ways to find out about possible career paths.

Sponsors for Educational Opportunity- Deadlines in February and April. Summer program to prepare you for the world of finance and corporate leadership. Especially interested in those who have a science background and want to go into business

Earth Justice - Early spring deadline, environmental and climate change related law internship.

Gerstner Sloan-Kettering - Deadline December 1st for best application. Official deadline Feb. 1st, but don't wait that long. Cancer biology and treatment research at the most well regarded cancer center in the world.

American Museum of Natural History - Deadline February. Evolutionary Biology and Physical Science, Astrophysics, Earth and Planetary Science.

Systems Biology Center New York - Due March 1st, interdisciplinary research for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Engineering and Biology. 10 week summer program paying $2500.

American Heart Association - Due Early February 15th pays $5000 to work in cardiology research for a 10 weeks in the summer. You must find your own research mentor. Here is a lists of places to start looking:
