The Brooklyn Opportunities in Science and Careers (BOSC) Program is an exciting opportunity in pre-professional studies at Brooklyn College, generously funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation. The purpose of this program is to prepare students for professional careers in the Arts, Business, Education, Finance, Journalism, Law, Medicine, and Research through the study of science.

BOSC eases the transition from high school to college by preparing participants for the rigors of college-level study in the sciences with a summer program and freshman year seminar that develops study and time management skills required for success. The summer program fosters the creation of a diverse learning community, composed of entering freshmen, senior students, faculty and advisors, which provides critical social support throughout the rest of college.

The BOSC program encourages and fosters the independent thinking, analytical and problem solving skills necessary to be a highly successful individual in any field.
