The City University of New York (CUNY) and the Institute for Cancer Prevention (IFCP) are offering a series of two research and grant writing workshops for investigators interested in research on cancer prevention and control and social disparities in health.

These workshops are designed as introductions to the grant writing process and to provide tools for investigators preparing grant applications for both internal and external research grants.

These sessions will include the following:

• The characteristics of a fundable idea.
• How ideas can be developed at the start of a research career?

• Funding sources for minority-focused cancer research.

• What grant agencies are looking for?

• How do you build an investigative team?

The workshops are open to CUNY faculty, CUNY doctoral and postdoctoral students, and IFCP scientists with an interest in cancer or health disparities research.
