About Us

The Brooklyn Review is an annual publication of the M. F .A. Programs at Brooklyn College of the City University of New York. We publish fiction, poetry, playwriting, interviews and art. Started under the direction of Allen Ginsberg, the Brooklyn Review has been guided by literary giants including Jonathan Baumbach, L.S. Asekoff, Amy Hempel and currently, Josh Henkin. During our outstanding 26 year history, we've proudly published work by Sapphire, T. Cooper, Wayne Koestenbaum, and David Levinson, whose story Blue is Just A Color in Issue 25 was selected as a finalist for the 2009 Pushcart Prize. Past interviewees have included Gary Shteyngart and Kevin Brockmeier. Please visit our archives to download previous issues.
