SUBMISSIONS GUIDELINES

Brooklyn Review is published annually at Brooklyn College of the City University of New York. The editors invite submissions of poetry, fiction, drama, photographs, and artwork. Up to 5 poems may be submitted per poet. Drama and prose pieces should not exceed 15 pages, double-spaced in standard 12-point font. (See below for separate art guidelines.) All submissions must include a cover letter. A self-addressed stamped envelope is optional; otherwise we will inform you of the status of your submission via email.

The 2008 Deadline for submissions is February 1st, 2008.

Cover letters should include name, address, email address, and phone number.

Due to the large amount of submissions we receive, the editors at Brooklyn Review cannot comment on individual manuscripts and cannot return original manuscripts or artwork submitted. Previously published submissions will not be considered for publication. Simultaneous submissions will be considered with notification of acceptance elsewhere.

ART: Up to five images may be submitted per artist, deadline January 1. One of the images sent may be a submission for the cover image. Images can be Photography, Drawing, Painting, Prints, etc., or photographic documentation of any other kind of artwork. Submission should be made via digital files of the images to brooklynreview@gmail.com.

Format: Grayscale TIFF or JPG at least 300 dpi; dimensions at least 8"x5" ( HxW)

Queries, but not submissions, can be sent to brooklynreview@gmail.com. All rights revert to the author subsequent to publication. Pays 2 copies.
