Freshman Composition at Brooklyn College

English 1010           English 1012       Freshman Common Reading

Welcome!

In order to graduate, all Brooklyn College students must complete two composition courses, English 1010 and English 1012 (formerly English 1 and 2). These courses, to be taken during a student’s freshman year, introduce students to modes of academic writing and help develop and refine writing skills that will serve students in all academic disciplines.  Questions about these courses should be addressed to the Office of Freshman Composition in 2314 Boylan.
