Welcome to the Graduate Division Website
Graduate education has been a significant part of the mission of Brooklyn College since 1935 when the Graduate Division was instituted. At the present time, almost one-quarter of Brooklyn College students are graduate students and approximately one-third of the degrees awarded annually at Commencement are graduate degrees. Brooklyn College currently offers more than seventy different master's degree and advanced certificate programs in the arts, education, humanities, sciences, and social sciences. This website will enable you to learn about the many academic programs available at the college (Academic Departments and Degree Programs). Information about Admissions, Financial Aid, Scholarships, Personal Counseling and Career Services, and many other resources that are available to Brooklyn College students is also readily accessible by direct links to the appropriate campus offices.
Not only is Brooklyn College a comprehensive academic institution, it is further distinguished by a wide range of extracurricular activities including concerts, film screenings, theater, recitals, and lectures by faculty members, students, and invited guests. The cultural life of Brooklyn College offers an excellent complement to our outstanding academic programs. Information about some of the events on campus may be obtained from the Conservatory of Music and the Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College (BCBC).
This website is intended to provide prospective graduate students with information about our academic programs and the offices that serve the graduate student population of Brooklyn College. Please feel free to contact us (Office of the Dean of Research and Graduate Studies ) if you require any further information or if you have additional questions. We look forward to receiving your application.
For current students and faculty, the site provides up-to-date information about activities on campus as well as information about programs and opportunities of interest. For alumni, the site is a point of connection to Brooklyn College and contributes to the continuing relationship of the college to its many alumni.
