"The Never Ending Path" tells the stories of five families living in the Dindigul District of Tamil Nadu, a region made up of thousands of small villages, most with no electricity, inadequate health care and on-going problems with inadequate sanitation and water. Focusing on the lives of five women living in this region, "The Never Ending Path" addresses issues of dowry, educational opportunities for girls, and economic hardship, as well as intercaste and arranged marriage.
