Personal Counseling reception is located in room 0203 William James Hall (lower level). James Hall is on the southwest corner of Bedford Avenue and Campus Road, across Bedford Avenue from the main quad (center of campus). Check at security booth for visitor ID pass.

Subway

Take B express train. Change at Newkirk for Q local train Avenue H station (Avenue H and East 16 Street, a 4 block walk to college) or wait to change at Avenue J station for B6 or B11 bus (to Bedford Av at Campus Road but this will take longer than walking). (Note that subway construction service changes may necessitate that you ride past these stops, cross to the inbound tracks and ride back to the Avenue H stop during fall / winter 2009-10. Later, work on the inbound tracks will disrupt the Ave. H service when departing from the college.)

From Avenue H station walk toward and cross Ocean Avenue (not Ocean Parkway). Look for the gold bell tower behind the West Quad building.

Enter at parking security booth on right and continue past West Quad building and cross the Quad to James Hall. (The West Quad entrance to James Hall is under construction. Until completed, walk around to the opposite side of James Hall via Bedford Avenue and Campus Road.

Alternate walking route from Avenue H / athletic field parking security booth: Bear left (away from booth and parking entry) around the athletic field. Back ramp entrance (may be closed during construction) to James Hall is just past the field and West Quad building or continue around James Hall to the entrance on Campus Road. See maps below.

Take 2-3-4-5 trains to Brooklyn. Transfer at Nevins Street for the express Flatbush train (2) or Flatbush train (5) to Flatbush Avenue station (Flatbush and Nostrand Avenues) which is the end of the line. Easiest transfer is Nevins Street in Brooklyn where all trains stop on the same platform. Make sure the train says "Flatbush" as destination--not all 2 and 5 trains go to Flatbush / Brooklyn College.

Ask anyone to point you toward the college which is one short block away, then ask for Jame Hall which is across the campus (entrance on Campus Road off Bedford Avenue or via West Quad when construction is complete). See maps below.
