Epistemology
This course will focus on the study of knowledge and the question of how beliefs are justified. We will look at the central debates and classical problems about the structure of knowledge and grounds of justification. We will also explore questions such as: What are the limits of self-knowledge? What responsibilities do we have with respect to forming and reflecting on our beliefs and judgments? What measures are necessary in order for groups to form good judgments and make good decisions? What, if anything, can studies about how we do reason teach us about how we ought to reason?
