One of the pleasures of working with and around young
children is the contagious effect of their energy and enthusiasm for
inquiry and learning. Keeping up with the children requires
boundless appreciation, patience and humor on the part of our
faculty and staff. It requires that they make curricular connections
between the children's activities and the literature, arts and
sciences which surround their daily lives at the Early Childhood
Center. Providing classroom experience and supervision of
prospective teachers, and for Brooklyn College students majoring in
such diverse disciplines as psychology, biology, sociology, health
and nutrition sciences, art, English, theater is another facet of
our faculty's work. Here you will find descriptions of the
qualifications of our core ECC faculty and several of our Brooklyn
College students.
