School of Education at Brooklyn College
A Bilingual School Counseling track has been developed, with nine (9) additional credits in the content area along with field experience in a bilingual setting. Advanced theoretical and practical training includes issues related to immigration, intercultural communication, second-language, multicultural counseling, and career development with ethnic minorities. Qualified bilingual students speaking any of the 135 languages represented by the New York City Public School System student body would be considered for this specialization.
