Gary Cowling 
Adjunct Lecturer, Acting for the Camera


Gary holds a BA in Theater and Speech from the College of William & Mary in Virginia and a Masters of Fine Arts in Acting from West Virginia University. He has worked in theater, television, and film for the past fifteen years. His Off-Broadway credits include: Burn This with John Malkovich and Joan Allen/Circle Rep; Billy Budd, Circle-in-the-Square; The Kiss, Lincoln Center; and Henry IV-1, IV-2 & V, La MaMa. He has performed at the Samuel Beckett Theater, Theatre Row Theater, Soho Rep, UBU Rep, Basic Theatre, and PS 122 as well as the NYC International Fringe Festival. 

Gary has toured the country (23 states) and worked in many regional theatres. In the summer of 2004 he appeared in the LORT premiere of Take Me Out at the Caldwell Theatre in Boca Raton, Florida, and was nominated for a Carbonell Award as Best Actor in a Supporting Role. Television and film credits include: What's Your Sign?; Analyze This; Law & Order; As the World Turns; One Life to Live; The Guiding Light, and several pilots. He is also seen in several widely broadcast commercials. 

Gary coaches privately and studies with Michael Howard.
