Ragnar Freidank
Adjunct Lecturer, Actor/Director Collaboration

Ragnar Freidank is from Germany and holds an MFA in Acting from the Conservatory of Music and Theatre in Hamburg. He worked as an actor in Germany and has performed in Budapest, London, Stockholm, and New York City. His directing credits include: Between Worlds (US Premiere, New York 2005), For The Pleasure of Seeing Her Again (New York, 2004), Oscar und die Dame in Rosa (Berlin, Germany, 2004), Monsieur Ibrahim und die Blumen des Koran (Berlin, Germany, 2003), Waiting for Godot (New York, 2003 and Adelaide Fringe Festival, Australia 2004), I have Never Been Here (New York, 2001), and Uncle Ethan Ripley (New York, 2001). 

He teaches the Michael Chekhov Acting Technique at Marymount Manhattan College, Sarah Lawrence College, and in the Graduate Acting Program of Columbia University. He is also on the faculty of the Michael Howard Studios. As a master teacher for MICHA (the Michael Chekhov Association) he has taught at several of their Teacher Training Workshops and International Summer Conferences in Europe and the United States. Together with Joanna Merlin he co-directed MICHA’s DVD series: “Master Classes in the Michael Chekhov Technique” which will be published January 2007.
