Cristina Vaccaro received her MFA in acting from the Professional Actor Training Program at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, and her BA in theatre from The University at Stony Brook.  She spent four years teaching Acting, Shakespeare and Stage Combat at The University at Stony Brook, where she directed and provided fight choreography for numerous productions, including As You Like It, Bedroom Farce, and Twelfth Night.  Currently she serves as the Acting Undergraduate Deputy Chair of the Department of Theatre at Brooklyn College, where she teaches all levels of Acting, Shakespeare and Stage Combat.  Cristina served two years as the Director of the Apprentice Company for The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey’s Summer Training Program, and is currently a Teaching Artist with several organizations in NYC, including the Roundabout Theatre Company and Theatre Development Fund.  As a teaching artist, she has taught classes and conducted professional development workshops centered on acting, playwriting and the use of theatre practice in the classroom.  Cristina is a professional actor and director in NYC and is a member of Actor’s Equity Association and the Society of American Fight Directors.
