Andrey Shenin grew up in Moscow, Russia. He began his career working as a Stage Manager for the Moscow Art Theater School. He received his BA in Theater from Temple University in Philadelphia and MFA in Performing Arts Management from Brooklyn College. He started at New York City Center in 1999 as a Theater Manager and is currently the Director of Operations. Prior to City Center, he was the General Manager of Ardani Artists in New York. He contributed his knowledge to the chapter on operations for Performing Arts Management: A Handbook for Professional Practices, published in 2008. He is a member of the International Association of Venue Managers.
