Michael Colby Jones is one of eighteen people in the world certified to teach the techniques of Patsy Rodenburg as a Registered Rodenburg Teacher (RRT). In addition to teaching at Brooklyn College since 2008, he was an Assistant Professor at Ithaca College in the BFA Acting and Musical Theater programs, taught at NYU’s School of Drama for three years, in the MFA and BFA Acting programs at LIU Post, and at Michael Howard Studios in their Conservatory Programs as the Resident Voice and Speech Instructor. MCJ’s private coaching clients have performed on Broadway, Off-Broadway, at major regional theaters as well as on television in Blacklist, Blue Bloods, Law & Order: SVU, Anger Management, and Orange Is the New Black.

MCJ has created roles as a member of eight original NY casts, as well as multitudinous productions of Shakespeare. He has worked on television in recurring roles and in independent film. MCJ’s NYC directing credits include Office Hours (Manhattan Rep), ART (Alchemical Theatre), and over 80 plays for the Gi60 International One-Minute Play Festival.
