Professor Marsh holds an MFA in Stage Design from UCLA, and a BS in Cinematography with a minor in Sculpture from Ithaca College. He works professionally as a set and lighting designer for the performing arts, and is the founder and president of Catenary Design Group, which specializes in commercial interior design. He is a member of United Scenic Artists, the national union for scene and lighting designers.

Recent and notable theater productions include the Off-Broadway hit Pericles at The Culture Project, the New York premiere of Ken Weitzman’s Spin Moves at The New York Summer Play Festival, A 12 lb. Discourse and Summer Camp 6 both at Soho Rep, The Triple Happiness at New York Theater Workshop, associate set designer on Imaginary Friends (Broadway) and assistant set designer on both The Beautiful Game (West End, London) and The Contract (National Ballet of Canada). In addition, Professor Marsh is the principal designer with the critically acclaimed dance company Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo.

Projects with his firm, Catenary Design Group, include the award-nominated restaurant The Biltmore Room, The 5’s Bar at The Peninsula Hotel, Mocca Espresso Lounge in TriBeCa, and the nightclub Chateau in Greenwich Village. Additionally, he was the assistant lighting and projection designer on the Wombi Planetarium at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut. Professor Marsh has also worked on a number of films, most notably two Francis Ford Coppola films: Godfather III (editorial assistant) and Bram Stoker’s Dracula (assistant to the producer). As a filmmaker, Professor Marsh’s work has been screened at The London Filmmaker’s Co-Op and The San Francisco Filmmakers Film Festival.
