Probation Requirements

As a SEEK Probation student:
  1. I will visit my counselor, CUNY CAP and tutor weekly, have them sign my monitoring sheet, and return it on the 1st of each month. (Download a copy of the monitoring sheet.)
  2. I will have my program reviewed by my counselor by September 6th.
  3. I will sign up for weekly 2 hours of tutoring by September 12th.
  4. If I am taking English 1, I will sign up for an additional 1 hour of English workshop.
  5. I will report to Room 2208 B and be assigned a CUNY CAP by September 12th.
  6. I will
    • do all class assignments
    • keep up with the reading
    • complete all homework assignments
  7. I will
    • attend all class sessions
    • be prepared
    • be on time
  8. If I do not understand classwork, I will report this to my counselor, CUNY CAP, and tutor.
  9. I will study my class syllabus and plan my semester work for each course.
  10. I will visit each of my instructors during his/her office hours to discuss my progress.
  11. I will find a study partner in each of my classes and exchange phone numbers and e-mail addresses.
  12. I will not unofficially withdraw from any class.
  13. I will not be allowed early registration unless I comply with all of the above and make satisfactory progress in all courses.
  14. I understand that I will be dismissed if I do not improve my GPA beyond 2.0.
  15. If I am a second-year student, I will complete the sophmore benchmarks on time.
  16. If I have any INC or ABS grades, I must resolve them before registration.
