Winslow is a historian who teaches in both the School of Education and the Women's Studies Program at Brooklyn College. Along with her research interests Barbara Winslow serves on the Advisory Board of the North Star Fund a foundation serving grassroots activist organizations in New York City and on the Leadership Council of the Organization of American Historians

    Is currently working towards a Masters in History at Brooklyn College.  She received her Undergraduate degree from Brooklyn College, where she completed a dual major in Women's Studies and Brooklyn College.  Her focus in studies is Post World War II American history, specifically the study of the Black freedom struggle, Lesbian liberation  and the Women’s movement.
