An important component of the New York Collaborative has been curriculum revision and design, especially in mathematics and science content courses for prospective teachers. Work on this task has proceeded through various steps:
formation of inter-campus working groups to compare and share curriculum;

preparation of course documentation, in sufficient detail to allow courses to be taught in the way envisioned by the designers by other faculty;

preparation of course case studies, in which faculty visited other colleges to examine courses in depth;

Courses continue to be revised, building on these steps. NYCETP is now focusing on dissemination and institutionalization of courses as they are currently taught.
