As part of the BETAC Network of the New York State Education Department, Office of Bilingual Education, HABETAC is committed to enhancing the knowledge and competencies of educators, parents and community members in order to implement and sustain instructional programs of academic excellence for limited English proficient/English Language Learners in New York State.
HABETAC, as member of the BETAC Network, collaborates with many other educational entities. It provides technical assistance and Professional Development, free of charge, to New York State schools, districts and institutions, servicing Haitian LEP students. HABETAC assists and supports parents and community-based organizations in their quest for greater student achievement.
